Just wanted to check if I do everything right and that's the expected behavior...
So I did a liquid sim, exported the grid velocity, no mist, foam, slashes.
Then I set my parameters for splash, mist and foam the way I want it, affect liquid unchecked.
I check "Enable Particle Resimulation" and hit "Start" in the Simulation panel.
-> Simulation times, even before any additional particles are born, are identical to before.
-> The performance tab still shows the cells per second
-> The grid cache files in the output paths are also overwritten.
Seems very much like it is doing a full sim to me - and even if only the grid caches are overwritten (and they apparently are), this is also a time consuming thing on big sims.
I ran a quick search across the forum, but didn't really find an answer, only found a thread that seemed to confirm that I did things in the right way.
Best regards,
Michael
