  • Base Density Scale?

I noticed that when I load certain rendering presets for smoke/fire and show the changes, I see a change in "basedensityscale." I found this parameter in scripting and I can edit it there but is this setting available in the UI as well? And is this just an overall multiplier for the density values as the name suggests?

    Thanks!

    Hey,

Nope, it should not appear in the GUI - this is a parameter that takes care about the smoke opacity to always remain constant no matter the scale of the objects. It's also used when you resimulate - it keeps the same opacity when you change the grid resolution and thus the density of the grid. It should not be visible to the beginner and intermediate user, but if you could find an application for it, go ahead

    Cheers!
