  • explosion size calculation

hi we are planning to create propane tank explosion. What are the best way to do it put fuel inside? And anyway to calculate how much surface force we need for this size tank to have realistic size explosion? Or should we use Brush method nonsolid inside? Thank you

Well, check some reference images and videos. You have to know what's the volume of this tank, then you have to calculate that it's about 80% filled with a liquid gas and how much this gas expands. Then when you know that you could make simulator size with that volume. Maybe Volume inject or Surface force would work for you. Volume inject actually acts like there is pressure, so it could be the right method. Also, for the starting point you can use Gasoline explosion and remove the smoke.

Trial and error.. blow it up at low res with the adaptive grid on.. give you a quick starting point

Yes, the good old "trial and error" method And the adaptive grid will save you a lot of time.
