  • In camera view detail

    Hi,

I have a very large scene in maya which needs to have some mist/ground fog over a certain area which in itself is a big area.

I was wondering is there a way to have a big fluid container which has a low grid size to do general mist/fog but then to have a fall off object infront of camera or the camera view that only adds detail into the fluid container, so what camera sees close up is the high detail fluid and the stuff in background is low res?

Or is there a better way to do this, like having several different fluid containers to be able to control more easy or being able to have a low fluid container and being able to re sim higher just in the camera view?

    Cheers

    Hi,
there can be several containers in the scene - with high res and low res for example. You can add each other in exclude list that prevents interaction. Resimulation is always an option that you can enable from Resimulation menu. Depends on the scene but you can make a large low res sim which is far from the cam and another one with high res in front of the camera view.
