Detail Reduction Amount

Regarding liquid simulation particles; I'm just curious if the detail reduction parameter increments by orders of magnitude? So would a value of 1 mean 10% in viewport?

Hey,

A bit more complicated:
0 -100%
1 - 1/8 = 12.5%
2 - 1/27 = 3.7%
4 - 1/64 = 1.5%
etc.
