  • Rendering hardware suggestions needed for beer.

    Hello,
I'm finding my beer simulation renders are slow. Water seems to be pretty good and I haven't done much smoke yet.

    I'm running a 3.4Ghz i7-4930K 6 core processor and a 770 GTX graphics card. 32Gb of ram.

I read through the hardware recommendations for simulating and know I've got some changes to make already. But I'd like some recommendations on rendering.

I'm experimenting with settings and am getting some speed increase but especially slow with GI.

    Any input is appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jarrod

    Hey,

Could you share a bit more info on how much time does a frame render for, how many foam particles do you have, what is the grid resolution, as well as all the settings of the Particle Shader and all V-Ray sampler and GI settings?

Additionally, which versions of Phoenix and V-Ray do you use?

    Cheers!

Let's start by clearing out the versions and settings because you could render several times faster by just improving the settings, while hardware should be considered after we are sure you already have the optimal settings
