  • Dripping liquid?

    Hey,
is there is a trick to get small scale liquids to build up drips?
I'm simulating coffee and I can't get the coffee spout to drip in the end.
If I'm animating down the velocity, the stream only gets thinner.
I'm using the coffee preset but raised the spf (20) and cell count(~20m) and set the scene scale to 1.
I turned the foam off for now.
I also tried to put two cylinders with noise controllers for the scale and position in the spout.
Which kind of helps to get a little bit of random movement in the stream but not for the drips in the end of the animation.

    Here is a Preview

The cubs you see have a Demeter of 6cm and my scene scale is set to one mm per max unit.

    Hey,
In the Dynamics rollout there is an option called Droplet Breakup - try setting it to 1. You can find more about it here - https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...SurfaceTension

In addition, Droplet Break Up will have a stronger effect when a higher Surface Tension is applied. Also, If the liquid seems to move too quickly you can increase the Scene scale parameter a little bit.
