  • A jacuzzi with lots of foam / splash / bubbles etc on surface. How ?

I've got some jacuzzis to do simulations for.

I've looked at the tutorials and example scenes and there is one which is called 'Looped Bubble Animation' - which on the face of it looks how I could attempt my jacuzzis......

Yet the simulation looks like bubbles inside an ice-cube - there is no movement on any of the surfaces of the water or any foam etc.

Any ideas how I can introduce both of those into this example whilst at the same time not causing the jacuzzi liquid to overflow ?

Also, once I've create one jacuzzi simulation, can I copy/instance that across other parts of my scene ?

    Many thanks.

    Hey,

In the bubbles scene the liquid source emits only foam particles and no liquid - so there is nothing to stir the water surface.
You can add a few emitters under the surface that emit liquid and foam particles. As for the overflowing - you can make a source with a negative discharge that will remove some of the liquid.

Another thing you can try is to use the Mapper and stir the velocity with animated texture, but that will be a bit harder to control.

As for the copying - sure, it will work with copying - instancing is coming soon

Another thing you can do is to add Phoenix Turbulence force and set it to affect the Liquid and the Foam.

        Thanks Georgi,

Yes, I could see some sort of agitation was needed, so, thank you for the ideas for me to try - I will do so and let you know how I get on.

Really appreciate the suggestions as I was stuck what to do

PS - copying will work fine for me - as I have several identical jacuzzis to create for a cruiser ship.

how do you copie the sims? just the grid? or do I have to copy all the helpers.

All helpers work with all sims in the scene by default.

However, if you need the same simulation in all copies, you can only simulate one, and have all the other simulators load its caches by picking them from their Input rollouts. This way the rest of the helpers don't matter at all.
