  • Strange hole in render

I am interested in creating a storm. Ocean waves are supposed to hit the pole and create splashes.
Please advise me what is the right strategy to set up the scene for such simulation. I also get this weird hole in the render.
    Thanks

Interested in creating a storm in the sea such as this video.

      Hello,

In your scene the Ocean texture that you're using as a displacement is not scaled properly - it's waay to big and the hole from the cylinder gets displaced to the side.
You can turn on the mesh preview and you will be able to see how the displaced surface will look right in the viewport.

How to create the waves - you will need something to generate them as a simulation.
As the scene is right now - it's only using a texture for displacement, but there are no real waves. You can create them using the Phoenix Wave Force.
Take a look at our Beach waves example scene - https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...Example+Scenes - it's pretty much what you need.
