  • Liquid clumps up and freezes (suspect adaptive grid is culprit)

Hi, so I have this hose emitted water on geometry in an adaptive grid.

Parts of the liquid will "freeze up" in midair, and the next clump of liquid that hits is will also freeze and get stuck.

I suspect the shrinking border of the adaptive grid has something to do with it, but not sure.

Any ideas? Definitely looks like a bug.

Damn, it wasn't the adaptive grid.

Here's a higher res sim without adaptive grid, the same error happens.

Any ideas? I'm getting desperate here.

      SOLVED

It looks like it was double geometry in my collision objects that was somehow breaking the simulation.

Yesss, you must always make sure your geometry is not open or double, or some areas of the sim might freeze, thinking they are inside a Solid obstacle, while they would in fact not look like they are.
