  • Smoke is not spreading

    Hi,
if you simulate you will see smoke is not spreading. If you create a new grid it will. Something happened to the grid I guess.

    Hey,

Your smoke dissipation is set to 1.0.

The smoke dissipates completely once it's created by the source.

    Cheers!

Thank you! I remember animating it and then forgot all about it.

No probs! Having a setup where just one node is the difference between a working and not working simulation is an important step towards finding what parameter actually makes the difference. Apart from comparing the parameters visually rollout by rollout, you could also export a Phoenix simulation or rendering preset to a *.tpr file from both simulators and use a diff tool like WinMerge to compare both presets and find which parameters differ and equalize them one by one until either the working setup breaks, or the broken setup starts working. The parameter names in the preset files are the italic script names next to each parameter info on the docs site, and you can also drop them in the search box and find which parameter they correspond to.
