  • Question. Phx grid in scene slows viewport performance from two times to 10

400fps - when no phx in scene at all, then ->

400fps slows down to 220 (in case grid is hidden)
220 slows down to 70 (grid is shown in scene explorer, tho even preview box is turned off - so it looks empty to me)
70 slows down to 20 (grid preview behavior changed from never display to always, and preview is stil showing nothing at all)

    Any ideas why ?

Maya version suffers (still, submitted as a bug 30th november) from the unavailability of exporting vrscene fast (it lags so much, that I just don't have any ideas why). Instead of seconds - minutes.

I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

      Need some more clarification:
      - Are these times for Max or Maya?
      - What kind of scene are you exporting to vrscene? From what you say, I take that it is slow even with just a simulator?

      Cheers!

Scene is purely on vrayproxies, so it takes several seconds and dunno, maybe 100mb of ram. But, when phx is here - it eats lots of ram, it eats cpu, tho everything is turned off (no preview, nothing (no mesh generation etc.)). So, scrollin timeline is a pain, coz phx constantly reads smth. Only, when I set input to smth wrong (like .aur->.auur) - then its back to normal.

Okay, got it. There already is an issue about that since your previous post, and it's scheduled for this month.

          Cheers!
