  • VrayVolumeGrid loop problems

    Hello again,
I have some issues with rendering of multiple VRayVolumeGrids. I need to combine different looped clouds together. I setup several (like 3) VolumeGrids with different caches and starts of the loops. Everything looks good in the viewport. However, when I am going to render the scene with Vray, they all render the same caches at the same time (just on the different places in space).

See attached file (left viewport - right render).

Hmmm, are you using the latest V-Ray Next from downloads.chaosgroup.com? By any chance, are you rendering using V-Ray GPU, or it's the CPU version?

    Cheers!

Svetlin: Yes, I've just downloaded recent version. Its happening on GPU, CPU, bucket or progressive does not really matter.

Svetlin: Ok, I created new scene and create the VolumeGrids from scratch and it looks, its working now. I can upload the scene and caches in case you would be interested, what was wrong. Otherwise for now, my problem seems to be solved (workarounded )
        Have a nice day!

Svetlin: Ha, I found some regurality. It looks, that some problems with rendering of caches could be replicated when you duplicate the VolumeGrid (and change the cache input files there).
If I create new VolumeGrid through menu or shelf and load the caches there, everything is ok.

Hey, yes - please if possible upload the scene so we can make sure this does not strike again.

            Thanks!
