  • Can somebody set any values in the phx maya channel box

    I just can't type anything, but maya direct mel setattr works

    setAttr "PhoenixFDSim1.rotateY" 50;
    I just can't seem to trust myself
    So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

    Which Maya? I create an empty Simulator and it works. Does there have to be anything else in the scene?

      What works ?! You can put values in channel box ?!
      It is both maya 2017, 2018, any builds from even last december I think. The ones, with eating ram even grid is turned off. I think I should record a video. Maybe it is smth with my karma

      edit. works. will investigate a lil more. it didn't 6 hours ago.

        You should record a video indeed. What are your steps?

        Would you mind sharing more about "The ones, with eating ram even grid is turned off."?

          Oh. Just open the scene and try to set grid rotation|scale|transform to any value by using channelbox.

          About the ram eater - I was already telling about this, cloning 10 grids eats 10th more ram, without any need in this (maya). One eats 5gigs, 20 grids - eating all my ram, just to open the scene. I rised the thread about this - https://forums.chaosgroup.com/forum/...56#post1024056

            Strange enough - that behavior is only after simulation, so newly created grid doesn't suffer from this. But, once simulated - grid locks the channel box.
