  • Possible issue with PFD nightly 29430

    Greetings!

Installed PFD Nightly 29430 August 17, 2019, on workstation and backburner farm.
    Max 2020.2 update
    V-Ray Next, update 2.1
Phoenix for Max 2020/Vray 4.x, Version 3.14.01 Nightly Build 2019081729430

Tested ocean sim preset on PhoenixFD toolbar.
Workstation renders OK frames with and without foam or splash particles and with and without shaders.
Problem: Backburner farm renders water frames okay with no splash or foam particle present, also renders okay with foam and splash shaders disabled (turned off on layer explorer), but farm machines experience Max crashes when shaders are turned on and a particle is present.
Vraylog.txt error message at time of crash, mentions a folder that does not exist on my system.

[2019/Sep/6|06:10:05] error: UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: Updating atmospheric effects
Last marker is at D:\cgrepo\vray\vrender\src\vrenderlight.cpp, line 822: Preparing lights (VRayLight001)

Performed complete reinstall of Vray and Phoenix nightly on workstation and farm. Problem repeats with VRay light and with standard omni, also with either foam or splash shader active, but only when a particle is present in the frame.

Attached are scene and log files.
    vraylog.txt
    test090619.zip

As a test, I downloaded and installed PFD Nightly 29350 July 20, 2019 on workstation and farm.
Rebuilt scene complete, new grid, new lights, and max renders okay on workstation and on farm. No issues.
Then installed Nightly 29430 on one slave, and max crashed again on that machine with particles and shaders on.

Thought you might want to know, or maybe I just missed something.
