Hi Im having issues trying to make a really long missile trail when my total cells reach over around 5 to 10 million my adaptive grid cuts off I have tried all the different settings still getting the same results so low res total cells works fine but doing a high res total grid like 26 million it cuts off. Im using version 3.13 Building ID 20190317 I can not use nightly builds or give you any files to test due to security issues with the company I work for if anyone has any ideas please let me know or if there is a better way to make long missile trails please let me know as well thanks

Hi, while I don't exactly know why it cuts off, I've done missile trails with multiple phoenix containers. So the idea is that you emit particles after your missile and use them to discharge the fluid from. With particles emitted you build several containers that follow the path of the particles but never move or be adaptive. Its fine if they intersect each other a little bit. The tricky part is to figure out how many frames to sim each container since not all of them require full range. After that you have to sim them and you will get a nice trail with fluid.Dmitry Vinnik

We really can't tell why it's cutting off without knowing the settings you use. Can you at least share what channel you use for the adaptive grid and what is your threshold? There is also another thread going on at this exact same moment that sounds quite similar...Svetlin Nikolov, Ex Phoenix team lead
