  • Phoenix 3.14 Selecting PF Issue in Max 2019+

Anyone else having issues selecting Particle Flow events for Scene Interaction in 3ds Max 2019 and 2020 with Phoenix 3.14? No matter what you select in the dialog that pops up, only the PF Source is added to the list and all selected events are ignored. I have to select them one at a time through the layer or scene explorer. Selecting in the PF Source acts as it should when selecting a single event, or multiple events. Everything works as it should in 3ds Max 2018.

Oh, wow, thanks for reporting this. I really can't remember when was the last time I was picking events neither in a Source, nor a Particle Shader, but in the Scene Interaction rollout... Reproduced it here and will check what's wrong. Will ping you when I know more.

So we will still be getting some bug fix updates officially for Phoenix 3? I usually don't install nightlies.

Indeed, but with a diminishing frequency.

Fixes will be picked only upon request, and with time, as we make changes, it would get more and more complicated to have fixes picked to older versions, or even impossible, in case the place where a fix should go was completely overhauled.
