Hi, am i missing something or is it just not working. I have unfortunately to work with a really heavy scene with lots of furs and hairs and fire on top of them. And i am exploring ways to make a working and usable workflow to render and edit and so on. So i would like to try to render the geometry on one pass and the fire on another. But i would like to not see the back side of the fire trought he front side of the fire so as it will be easier to compose. So i am trying to render with mask - selected. I select the container and the fire source. But nothing shows in the render. I selected one light which overlaps with the fire and the fire is vissible just there on the overlap. Dont know why.

Hey,
For the render mask to work you will need to switch to Volumeric Geometry mode from the Rendering rollout of the Phoenix simulator. Note that his will be a bit slower to render and you might need to increase your Max Transparency levels from the V-Ray options.
Probably you can use the V-Ray Atmosphere render element instead of the render mask.Georgi Zhekov
