  • Ocean mesh mode on a swimming pool

is it possible to use Ocean mesh and a cutter geometry to use it on a swimming pool and not having an infinite ocean?

Hey, the cutter will only work on the liquid inside the simulator. You might wanna use the V-Ray clipper instead?

hi svetlin! maybe you can help me out on the correct setup. take a look at the attached image. I have a simulation just to cover the place where the water hits the pool. Any advice on the correct setup for this scenario?

when I use on vrayclipper, it works, but multiple vrayclippers or custom geometry are not working.

          Hey,

Here is a scene showing how a similar setup works. What I did was to create two (feel free to use as many as needed) dummy boxes that cover the parts where you need the pools to be. Then made those non-renderable and attached them to each other using Editrable Poly > Attach. This way both boxes will be treated as a single mesh.
Then in the V-Ray Clipper I used the merged boxes geo and set the mode to Intersection - this way the ocean will show up only where the boxes are.

          Cheers!
