  • wetmap issues

    Good evening,

I'm testing out a "Small scene" to introduce myself to animations.
I was choosing between corona and vray, starting at first with corona and finally deciding to vray for more compatibility with software and plugins.

Simulation is exactly the same, I only converted shaders and lights.
I set up the wetmap to last 5 secs, but seems that with vray is not recognising it(tested with a very very low res quality animation).
Also, in corona the wetmap sees some more particles splashing around.

Then, other problem I found, is with renderfars, either chaoscloud or pixel plow.
When I rendered a test, seemed the wetmap wasn't recognized at all, so it was like to have just a single material rather than the mixed one.
Is there any reason about this?

If needed I can share the scene, even if it was shared previously with the support, but for other reason.
    Thanks in advance,
    Lorenzo

    Hey,

Is it possible to share the scene? I can't reproduce the issue here.

You can either share it here as a zip file or send it over to support with a link to this thread.

As for the rendering of the wetmap on the cloud - which version of Phoenix and V-Ray are you using?

    Thanks!

        Good morning Georgi,
sorry for the delay but I had a tight deadline on my neck until last night.
I just shared the scene by the support contact form.

you will see the scene made in corona, made in vray and cache of the sim.
if anything is missing, or not clear, please let me know.

render in there reference are made at the frame 80, just in case.
and last, the scene has state set, I used "liquid animation" for the test render.

        thanks in advance,
        Lorenzo

Thanks a lot for the scenes!

There are a few differences in the scenes that make the result different.

          1. The V-Ray scene uses the Liquid particles in the Particle Texture instead of the Wetmap ones that are used in the Corona scene
          2. The Particle area radius in the Particle texture is set to 1 in the V-Ray scene while in the Corona scene it is set to 0.5

Also note that both scenes are using different frame rate - one is set to NTSC while the other one is set to PAL.

          Cheers!

Stupid me, and I even checked it (face palm).
            I apologize for the ticket.

Thanks for point out also the different frame rate, I'll check it and fix it.
