Hey everyone,
I'm relatively new to phoenix and coming across a consistent issue that I'm hoping there's an easy solution. When I go to iterate a simulation, specifically adjust the emitters due to client feedback when I press the 'start' button it goes through the process of simulating, writes cache files, etc. However looking at the 'Cache File Content' panel there are 0 particles being created. Reviewing the simulation and cache file size there are definitely no particles being cached.
This happens during the following procedures:
What I've done to troubleshoot:
Making this clear, no errors are thrown, it looks like it's working properly, however 0 particles are being generated. This is a simple paint dripping animation without any unique or complicated effects/settings or modifiers used, pretty much 'vanilla' simulator settings.
My setup is 3dsMax 2017, Vray 5.1003 and Phoenix 4.3000
Thank you for any help you can offer.
Sean

Reviewing the simulation and cache file size there are definitely no particles being cached.
This happens during the following procedures:
- Adjusting the size of the emitters
- Changing the cache to iterate simulations and start a new cache
- adding emitters to the liquid source
- removing emitters from the liquid source
- adding an additional liquid source
What I've done to troubleshoot:
- Uninstall and reinstall VRay and Phoenix - Doesn't seem to be install related
- Delete everything out of the scene and create a new liquid sim with a sphere (still no particle generation) - Proves it's not my particular simulator nor bad settings in my simulator
- Open a new scene (without reloading Max) simulation works perfectly. - Looks like it doesn't dump needed files mid 3dsmax session.
Making this clear, no errors are thrown, it looks like it's working properly, however 0 particles are being generated. This is a simple paint dripping animation without any unique or complicated effects/settings or modifiers used, pretty much 'vanilla' simulator settings.
