I'm not sure if this is a Phoenix question or a Vray 6 question, but I have a basic fire sim that renders fine in Max 2022 and Vray 5, but does not render in Max 2023 and Vray 6. I re-simulated the fire, but that did not have any effect. The sim does display in the viewport. I also created a blank scene and used a fire preset on a sphere, which also did not render. I do get a little orange glow from the fire though, just no flames.

Hey
Yes, you will need a V-Ray 6 compatible build for Phoenix. Here is how to get one - https://forums.chaos.com/forum/phoen...nightly-builds
Official builds with V-Ray 6 support are coming soon.

In that case it is safe to assume that phoenix 4 will work with vray 6. If not it is a bit bizarre that phoenix 4 has been ditch and phoenix 5 is not yet official support. I am also curious what vray 6 support in phoenix 5 that is so unique. Thank you in advance for reply.

Hi Svetlin, thank you for your reply. I remember our conversation, just thought that something has changed in that regards since there is no official support for vray 6...
