  • GPU preview in the Standalone Previewer

    Hi,
I want to use a standalone previewer to come out a smooth result animation to understand the GPU result
but the problem I face is GPU preview result is different in between viewport and previewer.
my goal is to have a GPU preview and save the sequence to playback in Chaos Player to view the smooth animation preview.
here is the problem I face, please advise it.

Meantime, I also want to ask if I want to see my smooth fire sim animation is that the correct way of my workflow?
GPU preview in previewer > Save sequence > play in Chaos Player
or have other better workflow? thanks

Hey, yes - currently the GPU preview in the standalone previewer does not have that many options as in 3ds Max and Maya, but I want to make it possible to transfer the shading settings from Max/Maya to the standalone preview as well in the future.

Meanwhile, you could also save out images from 3ds Max - you need to enable the GPU Preview extended viewport in one of 3ds Max's viewports: https://docs.chaos.com/display/PHX4M...tendedViewport
... and then, at the bottom of the GPU Preview options rollout, you could use the Save button to save images - there is a From-To range there as well.

    Cheers!
