  • Large Air pockets from surface force emitter

    Hi,

I have a setup very similar to the "effervescent tablet" tutorial to create some bubbles/foam underwater than then rises up to the surface. I am using an animated texture to drive the foam emission from a disc that is placed under the water.

In the mesh I am occassionally getting large volumes of empty space (no fluid) around the emitter - what might be causing this? I tried increasing the Steps Per Frame but this doesn't seem to help.

For context, this is a small R&D scene as we have an incoming project for a swimming pool with underwater air jets which are a key feature that the client wants to highlight.

Hey, could it be that the emitter geometry is solid and it drives a hole through the liquid? Also, if the Source is in Surface Force mode, this would push away the liquid particles and could be the cause for these air pockets.
