  • increase smoke from 0 -> filled grid with blue particles

    Hi,
I am trying to create a sim where smoke slowly starts to increase while following a pat. (so it is not starting with a plum of smoke) So I have a source object slowly increase temperature and smoke values. For some reason I get a completely filled simulation grid with blue particles before the smoke starts emitting.
    Any idea why this happens?

Ah, don't worry - the voxel preview is trying to be universal and at one point the cache files look to it like they are from a liquid simulation

To work around this, disable the Auto Range options and tell the Voxel Preview of the Grid Temperature to always show a range between 301 and 2000:

You could also set the Smoke range to minimum of 0.001 and maximum of 1.0, and you could even enable the GPU Preview further down below.

    Hope this helps, cheers
