    Hi! I am new to Phoenix, and have encountered few problems that I was not able to solve for a few days, and I am hoping that somebody can help me.
    I am using 3ds max 2023, Phoenix 5.1 and VRay 6.
    The goal is to animate pouring ketchup into the glass bottle.
    1. Is it pisible to use textures with liquids? I want to use a noise map to give it a little bit of texture. I have tried different values in "Texture UVW" section, it is either all stretched on the sides or complete mess all around.     2. Air pockets starting appearing at the bottom of the bottle, and I don't undrestand why, first 5 sec out of total 10 everything is smooth and solid. As particles they shown as light bluish dots, as mesh - it just holes.

    3. Also my bottle is rotating, and rotation velocity of the bottle is not transfered to the liquid. I have tested the same setup with cylinder with 8 edges, and liquid inside rotating with this cylinder. I dont understad why it is not working with smooth round bottle.​

    Hey,

    1. Is your texture using Explicit UVW coordinates? Be sure to change the texture coordinates from ObjectXYZ to Explicit Map Channel, otherwise the texture does not flow with the fluid using TexUVW, but instead is statically fixed in space.

    2. For the air pockets, you could try the Isosurface Render Mode along with a Cutter Geometry.
    Compared to the Mesh mode, the Isosurface is always smooth but keep in mind that it will take longer to render and it requires V-Ray. Try with different Isosurface Levels, so that the liquid volume would expand and would entirely intersect the bottle geometry. This way the Cutter Geometry would clearly cut the liquid without any remaining air pockets between the liquid and the bottle.
    Enable Cutter Geometry and select the bottle geometry - the Cutter clips the liquid such that only the parts of it inside the volume of the Cutter Geometry are considered at render time, so you may notice that the liquid only appears between the walls of the glass.
    To resolve this, enable the Invert Cutter option from the Rendering tab of the Simulator.

    3. Make sure your bottle is a Solid object. You could check this from the Phoenix Per-Node Properties menu - https://docs.chaos.com/display/PHX4M...ode+Properties. Note that Phoenix works best with closed geometries. You may check it with 3dsMax STL Check modifier. Geometry with a hole or other errors might cause problems when simulating.
    You could try increasing the Motion Velocity effect of the bottle. The option is also located in the Phoenix Per-Node Properties menu and allows you to control the impact of a moving object over the fluid.
