  • Extremely slow VFB 6.1

    Hello,

When rendering images higher than 1920x1080 the VFB becomes completely unusable, both in simple and complex scenes. The higher the resolution the more painful it gets. When rendering at 8k it's basically impossible to do anything in VFB. We launch a render and it takes almost 1min for a simple pan or zoom in/out.

We're using the latest Vray update and Max 2023. This has been like this since Vray 6.

GPU is a 3090, CPU is a 7950x. Happens on all our workstations.

    Is it a known issue?

    Thank you,

Hi, any feedback? Are we the only ones having this problem?

Hi, thanks for posting. Are you sure you are not running out of memory? Are you running other applications during the rendering?

Hi, no, memory is fine. In my case i have a 3090 and 128gb of ram. Tried with just 3dsmax running, same issue.

Hi, could you open a ticket trough the support contact form so we can share details about a team viewer session. We think it will be best to see what is going on on your setup. Please don't forget to include a link to this thread in your e-mail.

Hi, have you tried to reset your render settings to default on one of your problematic scenes? This is done by switching to another render engine for example Scanline and then back to V-Ray. Please try this let us know how it goes.
