    Hi all

    I seem to always get a big plume at the start of the Path Follow.
    Get a similar plume with a Plain field too:

    Hey,

    Yes indeed, plumes are a part of the core of the fluid simulation, more often than not they are the desired effect of simulating fire/smoke. If you want to reduce them, one thing you could do would be to reduce the Fluidity (Conservation) option in the Dynamics rollout, to make the fluid less... fluid. You could also animate this from a low value in the beginning of the timeline to a higher value once the smoke has reached the end of the path for example. Or you could also animate the follow speed of the path follow or the strength of the plain force from a low value at the start to a higher value later on - this should also reduce the plume.
