  • smoke with bend modifier issue

    Hi
    just starting to experiment with the deforming a fire/smoke grid, im getting an issue when rendering with a 45 degree bend modifier applied

    grid looks fine in viewport too (non gpu preview), just doesn't render correctly, seems its "chopping" off the ends
    2 images below highlight the issue

    also, the GPU preview isn't working with the bend modifier applied, is this correct ?
    also , will FFD be available soon

    Hey Paul,

    Indeed, when the grid is bent and the contents go outside of the bounding box of the simulator you won't get a proper render at the moment.
    This is still in the to do list along with the support for the GPU Preview to reflect the deformers properly and the support for the FFD modifier.

    I've added one more vote for all these. Unfortunately I can't tell when these will be ready but as soon as we have something - we will update this thread.
