  • Initial fill of vessel: fluid is shrinking to 50% of the fill

    Hello,

following the tutorial on the chaosgroup website:
Initial fill is shrinking extremely. Like density is missing. What could be the reason?

(6 million voxels for liquid in a small object. And object normals were correct.)

p.s. There is a failure in the tutorial: Not mentioned that the glass needs to be an "obstacle"... took me long time to figure out.
The mentioned tutorial is here: https://docs.chaos.com/display/PHX4M...ith+Containers

    Hey, hello!

Isn't the glass geometry Solid by default?

        Hey,

I just downloaded the tutorial scenes and it looks like the glass geometry is a Solid Obstacle in both the start and final scenes - glass_geo.png

I also simulated the final scene for a few frames and it looks good here - simulated_liquid.png Are the Steps Per Frame in your scene set to 12 as mentioned in the tutorial?

        Thanks!

          Hey,

We just double checked the described steps for creating the glass geo and it looks like that the geometry is Solid by default.

Could you tell us which is your exact Phoenix version, so we can try to reproduce the problem here?

          Thanks!
