  • Phoenix Creating Lights At Rendertime Even If Hidden?

I have a fireplace that when i turn the fire off, lights are still being created at rendertime and are blowing out my scene.

What is causing the creation of lights and how do i disable it if phoenix is hidden?

Found this issue. It was a setting for "Create Lights Even If Unused" under rendering settings of phoenix node.

        Hey,

Glad you figured it out! If Create Lights Even If Not Renderable is enabled, this forces the Simulator to emit light over the scene even if rendering the Simulator itself is disabled.

Here you can find more information about the Rendering options - https://docs.chaos.com/display/PHX4MAX/Render+Fire

        Cheers!
