  • Cascade simulation "seams"

    Hey folks,

I'm currently trying to do a simulation of a hot tub that has a "spill-over" waterfall that then drops down into the main pool.

I have a simulation grid for the hot tub that ends halfway on the spout for the spillover, then a second grid that covers the space of the spill-over and finally a third one that covers the entirety of the lower pool at a much lower resolution.

These sims are then set up to cascade Hot Tub -> Waterfall -> Pool (as in, the waterfall has the hot tub set in its "Cascade Simulator" option).

The water is all flowing correctly between the sims, but between the hot tub and the waterfall there is a very obvious seam.
I've tried increasing the resolution and substeps but that has only helped marginally and on some frames the seam is still very visible.
Currently the voxel size for both is 0.75cm and steps per frame is 6.

Would increasing SPF further help or is there something else I'm missing?

    Thanks
