  • Independent Fire Simulations in the Same Scene?

    Hi everyone!
I’d like to have two different fire simulations for candles in the same scene. I have two grids, but when I simulate one of them, it also simulates the other. Any tips on how to keep them independent?
Each candle has different turbulence values to make them different.
Thanks in advance for your help!

This is by default. You are probably seeing the already simulated frames from the first candle, while the other sim is being calculated. If you don't have any sim selected and start simulating, a menu will appear, which lets you choose which sim to affect.

If you have one simulation and copied it (shift+drag, assuming we're talking about 3DS Max), they both point to the same cache sequence. Simulating either one of them will overite the sequence.
You can watch this video for a clearer explanation of the I/O path management.
