  • Threads / Cores

    Hello,

i'm playing a lot with PhoenixFD And really appreciate how fast it can be.
But like i've read on the manual, Phoenix is supposed to use all threads( cores ) of my workstation.
    But not.

    It's only using 16 - 30 % of my CPU.
Even with a simple scene with nothing more than 1 phoenix tool.

My computer is a Corei7 with 6go on Seven64 ultimate.

    Hi,
there are some single thread tasks, the most important is the interaction with the scene. If the object does not change the interaction is pretty fast, but if you have some persistent changes, like animated texture of a source, some movement, wsm forces, etc, the interaction becomes the bottle neck of the whole simulation.

    Regards,
    Ivo
