For some reason, when using the Particle Texture that is hooked up using an instance of my sim to avoid dependency loop, the texture map itself will first appear correctly in the texture slot (using fine displacement on a smoke sim), but upon hitting render or doing anything else in the scene the texture removes itself! Other textures work just fine but this guy won't stay put!
