  • PHX FD Particle Texture disappears from displacement

    For some reason, when using the Particle Texture that is hooked up using an instance of my sim to avoid dependency loop, the texture map itself will first appear correctly in the texture slot (using fine displacement on a smoke sim), but upon hitting render or doing anything else in the scene the texture removes itself! Other textures work just fine but this guy won't stay put!

    Running Max 2010 x64 SP1.

        Just in case anyone else has this problem, it was because I had created an instance of the Simulator to use with the PF Source, and when I tried to add the Particle Texture to the other instance, obviously it wanted to add it to both instances, and without letting the user know of a circular reference, it just removed the map. Weird but makes sense.
