Problems with setting cpu affinity while simming

It seems if I set the processor affinity of max to not use one core the sim dosent work. It dosent stop and there is still CPU usage but the sim wont advance. WinXP 64bit

this is a known issue, if the sim runs over a a cpu with less free cores than declares, it goes extremely slow, looks like stopped (but is not). this can be fixed but will decrease the performance, so i would recommend to set certain threads limit.

Ok. It seems that the Threads limit does not update while simming, any possibility of this working? Or will it degrade speed like above?
