    Not sure if this is related to any of the other z-order issues reported but:

    The viewport preview shows what appears to be a good solution

    When rendered its like the "pool" is alpha'ed out

    Vrat mats, no toon, Vray cam, Vray dome with HDR, single spot light, vray shadows
    multi-sub mat + vray mats, IR + LC, linear 1/1/2.2

    Any help is appreciated

    well, no idea how this happens, definitively the toon is not guilty, can i see the scene?

      Thanks, it appears that when Default Geometry in Raycaster Params is set to "Dynamic" it occurs, when set to "Static" no problem

      Max2011 x64 + Vray 1.50SP5 + PFD 1.20

                Seem to do the tricks! Dont have time to test it on the other scene for now but i think it would fix it anyway.
