  • Pheonix FD affected by wind

    Hi there,

maybe its a really stupid question, but how can I achieve that the fire / smoke of phoenix will be affected by wind modifier? I don't mean the "wind effect on moving". My goal is that I have something burned (e.g. a barrel) and the
fire / smoke should be moving away... something like this :

    Bind to spacewarp
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

I've tried to use the wind spacewarp, but it doesn't affect the simulation

But does the winds decay work with Phoenix?
I'm creating explosion where I'd like to add more turbulence in bottom. So I'm trying to do that with winds turbulence with decay.

phoenix just asks the wind for the force in given point, and the wind itself calculates it, including the decay and all the parameters.

                Ok. Thanks.

Then I just need to keep tuning. Already looking quite good, but not as fury as it should.

You can use PHXTurbulence to add furyiness i guess.

Yes, I know. Somehow I cant get the results I want with it.
Also the small amount of wind from Max spacewarp does some nice extra movement to my current sim.
