  • Is there any plan to release Phoenix version 1.2 for 3ds max 2013 ?

Or for some reason I can't find it on the main site?
I heard that 2.0 was already released but I am still on 1.2 version.

Yeah, I'll have to make some workaround.

It's really a shame. How long was the life cycle of Phoenix FD 1.2? A year? It's really annoying!
Today I made a clean install of 3D Studio Max 2012 to use the software we bought for a high price and installed Phoenix. It's not shown in the create panel!
Every plugin we use is updated to work in 2013 these days. Every plugin but Phoenix FD 1.2 which died after a VERY short period of time. Shame on you, chaosgroup!

You could email us to support@chaosgroup.com; I'm sure something can be arranged.

The situation with 3ds Max 2013 and Phoenix FD 1.2 is pretty much the same as for V-Ray 1.5 and 3ds Max 2013. There was a major SDK break and many many changes were required to update the plugins. Specifically for Phoenix FD, it is unfortunate that this happened relatively soon after its release. While we updated the current versions of the plugins, porting that work to the old versions is not straightforward (basically needs to be redone from scratch).

          Best regards,
          Vlado
