  • Animating time scale hides the cells?

I don't know if this is just me, but I'm animating the time scale down from 1 to 0.001 over the course of ten frames to freeze a cloud in time.

Whenever I do this, the next simulation will be invisible, however when I reload the scene it's there again.
    Anybody else seen this problem?

    Thx

which time scale, the simulation (dynamics) or playback (input)?
in the freezing flame sample scene the time scale is animated down to 0, no problem with this.

      It's the timescale-attribute under dynamics.
Let me elaborate, I simulate, then when I'm happy with the sim I want to freeze the time, once I've set the keyframes and simulate again the next sim is invisible.
I then reload maya, and from that point on it is usually visible.

Sometimes pressing the clear simulator cache-button in the shelf help too.
I have six containers in the scene, and i'm emitting using the "if not solid" option set to brush.

I think I've reproduce it. It's some sort of random drawing issue when you animate the "Time Scale" attribute. It doesn't affect the simulation, just the frame that is shown is not the right one. If you move the time slider, it must refresh properly. I will write it as a bug, it probably can happen in other situations also.

Yes, it's not related to the time scale, but with the SPF. When this value goes to 1 in some cases it will show wrong frame in the viewport. It should be fixed in the next nightly
