  • Issues when saving out new scene

I have a scene setup with the PHX simulation, displacement, etc. I save the scene under a new name and click on No when asked to copy the simulation and No in the second dialog box that pops up. Now when I generate a new simulation and try to render the displacements no longer work. Also the viewport display using Shading Preview of the simulation is now black when before it was white. Seems saving a new scene and not copying or moving the sim breaks several things.

When I attempt to render the scene now it crashes Maya. Let me know what you need to debug it. Thanks.

Can you send the scene to the phoenix mail? Saving with another name doesn't do anything else except moving or not moving the cache files.

There is a bug with displacement and uvw coordinates. I will try to fix it today. It seems you don't actually use them, so you can just turn on "Ignore UVW Channel Coordinates" in the redering section or don't export them.

Probably this option must be on by default because the most common cases are to use the uvw for wavelet or color. And you may get strange result if you forget to turn it on.
