    Hi,

    I am trying to render a wormhole using Phoenix,
    and this is so far where i have got... but I am having an issue in extracting a zdepth map.. as one of our compositors asked for it, as it would help him grade the render to get more depth...

    I looked on the forum and found a thread where Ivaylo said atmosphere objects have no z depth channel..
    but I was wondering if there's any update on that.. atmosphere zdepth channel...

    Yes, it was added at some point in the nightlies. Not sure if it will be usefull for such transparent object. The other solution is to render in geometry mode with deep image.

        Can't you create a rough geometric representation of the wormhole to render for the Z depth? With a "soft" object like this it might be sufficient for some post work.
