  • Selection bug in 3ds max 2014

I've got a strange bug using Phoenix 2.1.1 Rev 23258 in max 2014:

Normally when you move your cursor over an object that you can select it turns into a cross. For me this works for everything BUT PHXSimulator objects. I can select it, but the cursor doesn't change to a cross, which is quite irritating.

really strange, this happens only with max 2014 or you have no observations?

I only have that problem in 2014 (both in Nitrous DX9 and DX11). It works without problems in 2012 (using Nitrous DX9)... and yeah, I'm using a GTX670... maybe a issue with the latest Detonator driver (320.49)?

Edit: Or it's a max bug, as it works in 2014 using "Legacy Direct3D".

actually we have no participation in the code that draws the cross, max makes it automatically. however, you said that only phoenix behaves differently, all the other objects have no problem. for me this is a bit of mystery, anyway we will try to fix it.

            Ivo,
I have the same issue with 2014.
Not that it is a big problem

A little update: I found out that the bug is NOT specific to the Phoenix Simulator, but also occurs with the pink brackets of open groups. No cross over those either.

Hey guys, recently we made some changes to the selection code, does the issue still occur for you?
