  • "The following objects were set in non-solid mode"

    Hey,

there is a problem bugging me, I dunno if it happend because I switched to the latest nightly (240130) or if I changed something in the scene, but recently a scene that used to render just fine now always gives me a popup upon opening and rendering saying "the following objects were set in non-solid mode: Ship_Emitter" (which is the emitter for my liquid source of course...).

Once I click it, the scene loads/renders fine, but checking each rendernode for that is quite annoying and If I don´t the scene won´t render.
Any idea what is happening here?

by the way: Since I frequently update to the latest nightlies and have to do so on all render nodes - can I check somewhere, which version is installed on a node? In case I missed one?

Hmm, I think saving the scene after confirming the message should update it and the message won't show anymore. Does that work?

You can also check the master version and nightly revision from the about box, e.g. the latest nightly is Version 2.1.1 Revision: 24161

this message is to inform you for backward compatibility changes.
the old concept for non solid source was geometry non interacting with the simulation but set in the list of interacting source.
this was replaced by a checkbox that explicitly says solid or non solid the geometry is. the old scenes wouldn't work if this parameter is not set properly, so we detect the old non solid condition and replace it with the proper state of the checkbox.
the render nodes should be in silent mode, aren't they? if they display the message box, we have to fix that.

Thanks for the input, I´ll try saving the next thing after cklicking the message box and see if that fixes the issue.
But yes, it seems the message box shouldn´t pop up on the render nodes in the first place.

In tomorrow's nightly build the message will not show up on the render nodes Thanks for reporting this!
