  • 'phoenix cannot write simulation file'

I did a low res sim over 1,000 frames yesterday and refined it with a low grid resolution until I was happy, then just before i left for the evening I increased the resolution to 22mil. I start it, then come in today to find at frame 70 there was an error up that said 'phoenix cannot write simulation file' which brought the entire sim to a halt.

Does anyone know why this happened, and how can I make sure it doesn't happen again?

edit: I pressed ok on that error and saved the scene. now when i try and re-open the scene I get the error 'unbalanced CloseChunk', where clicking ok quits max back to desktop. cant get into the scene at all now.

problem solved! was an old permissions thing giving me a size limit on that folder (10gig limit on documents, presumably because in other offices they're shared and people switch machines a lot)
    disabled it now and resimming.

leaving this here for anyone else getting the same error.
