  • liquid source stops dispensing liquid

    I've been working on an animation where I have a pipe dispensing water into a sewer well. The liquid starts dispensing fine, but after about 50 frames or so the liquid stops and I only have foam and splash dispensing. Can someone tell me which settings will help me to have a consistent liquid flowing throughout the simulation?

    Thanks for any help offered.

      Thank you. Attached is the model file. My goal is to have a continuous calm flow of water coming into the well from the source. I've tried using PHX source and PHX liquid and a whole variety of settings. Thanks again for your help.

        Hi, the problem is that the normals of the water faucet are broken and point inwards.

            Hope it goes smoothly If the emitter is a solid object (obstacle to the fluid), as in your case, the normals are used to direct the velocity of the discharged fluid. If they point inwards, the fluid will be emitted only by accident and eventually will stop flowing completely.
