  • getting the brush mode to work

    Hello,

I am trying to fill an object with the brush mode, but I just cannot get it to work.
    http://help.chaosgroup.com/phoenix21/tips.htm#initfill

Perhaps I don't get the first point "Create a geometry covering the volume that should be filled with the liquid."
So are there two geometry's in the scene - one emitting the particles, the other excluding them - or just one doing the exclusion.
Perhaps someone could take a look at my maya scene.
    Thnx a lot in advance

    Martin

You have to add the geometry used as a brush as a source-object and just hide it:

      hello,

thanks a lot, it worked like a charm. I really enjoyed to start the emission from a cloud-like geometry and not from a cube.
The whole anim is about a monster "diving" up from the clouds. I will start a thread in the main phoenix section showing our progress.
      Thnx aggain

just a tip: set the vorticity to zero or some low value to prevent the changes of the parts of the cloud still not affected by the object.
