  • Ocean Extension not workin as Matte object?

    Hi there,

    I have to rerender some stuff from our last project and since I only need the ships I changed all other objects Vray Properties to "Matte Object" with Alpha Contribution set to -1.0.
    But now the ocean extension doesn´t show up in the ships reflections. The mesh is being built before rendering and it also works if I only set Alpha Contribution to -1.0 without ticking "Matte Object".
    I thought I had already done it this way before, so I might just miss something or is it a bug in the current build we´re using?
    We are using Vray 3.004 and Phoenix 24273.

    this is strange, the ocean is just a standard max mesh, it must behave as all the other meshes. did you try with another mesh just to be sure that the setup is correct? for example use a plane instead phoenix

      Thanks for the tip, the problem seems to be the same, if I use a Plane with vraydisplacement on it.
      I´ll try to locate the problem...

        No idea what went wrong but when I used an older save to recreate the setup it suddenly worked again...
