  • Phoenix Inside Lights Power not working when Grid based self-shadowing?

It seems when Self Shadowing is set to "grid based" the Power Multiplier internally is always set to "1". Different Values than "1" only work with "raytrace" or "none"...

Hello, this is intentional, but the control should have been greyed out.

The lights power multiplier controls the strength of the lights that Phoenix creates automatically to illuminate the scene. In grid-based self-shadowing mode the self-illumination on the smoke from the simulator's own fire is calculated separately to speed up the process, and no lights are used on the simulator itself, therefore the multiplier is not needed. If you use grid reduction less than 100%, there might occur some difference in power between the simulator's self-illumination and the light that is cast on the scene, so you may then use this multiplier to equalize and adjust. The global fire multiplier to the upper right of the diagram affects both emissive lights and grid illumination, so you can adjust them together.
