Hello all,
I have attached a few images to give you an idea of what I am trying to do. It's been almost a year since I have done anything major in Phoenix FD so I'm still catching up on all the new features.
What I am trying to create is a river with a oil slick that runs down and is being recovered (this will loop eventually). I may be going about this all wrong so if it looks like it please let me know a better way.
The Problem
Initially I had the entire river as the simulation, but I was not getting the best results (I'm super rusty) so I am trying the ship method and hoping to apply it to the individual parts of the objects in the river (this may not work). I have no idea if using the ocean texture (displacement) with different simulations for every object in the water is the best way to do this. However, I have been getting issues with the initial fill up losing water and then having the simulator grid affecting the water more than the object in the container. Is there something I need to check to make sure the container is not applying any force to the water? I followed the ship tutorial and could not find a reason my simulation was acting different.
